It was a great pleasure to host Father Gregory over the last two weeks. He left this week to return to France via New York filled with wonderful impressions of our Holy Spirit Community.
The Ladies Philoptochos society of St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church is presenting its “Spring Into Fashion” on Saturday March 20th. The fashion show and luncheon will be held at “Michael’s On East” at 1212 E. Ave. South in Sarasota. Social hour is from 10:30-11:30 and lunch is at Noon. Cash bar and luncheon is $35.00. Many prizes will be offered by Raffle – don’t miss it!
Please pick up your free icon prints on the Greeting Table. Take all you need!
Don‟t forget to have your Easter Flower Offering in by Palm Sunday!
The next Church Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 13th at 1:30 pm. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend!

NEW PASCHAL GREETING CARDS HAVE ARRIVED – $15.00 per box.
Holy Spirit Church’s tithe to the Diocese of the South was just under $12,000.00 for 2009.
Don’t forget your Easter Flower Offering and see the Lenten Services Schedule you received in the mail (or pick one up at the greeting table) for all dates and times of services during Great Lent.
The next Church Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 9th at 1:30 pm. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend!

On Friday, January 2nd our Community was visited by Fr. Nazarious (Andrew Kestar) who was a Reader at Holy Spirit in the 1990’s. Fr. Nazarious is now serving at Ascension Monastery in Rosca, Georgia. Fr. reminds us of the continued impact of Holy Spirit Church on our former Community members.
