We want to take a moment to especially recognize all of the “unsung” heroes who make our experience at Holy Spirit Church so meaningful. If it were not for the volunteers who clean the bathrooms, clean the kitchen, clean the icons, remove walls, direct the choir, arrange the music, vacuum the carpet, make Holupki, paint, do yard work, run errands, buy table cloths and flowers and prepare the tables, bake the Prosphora, prepare the Altar for Holy Communion, sponsor breakfasts and dinners, schedule events, provide thoughtful direction on various projects and who unselfishly contribute their personal time week after week it would not be possible for our Community to function properly. Thank you for all you do!
In addition to our responsibilities at Holy Spirit, we have also become a visibly significant spiritual presence in the Christian Community in “metropolitan” Venice. The involvement of Holy Spirit Church in the Venice area has given us a very special opportunity to cultivate Orthodox Christianity in Southwest Florida, as well as many other states and Canada.
Let us all find a way to become Laborers in the Vineyard of Christ and let us resolve to commit ourselves to His Holy Orthodox Church.
